sunrise

a hope, that only comes when illuminated
a change, that beckons choirs of angels to celebrate
a new life, transformed and reconciled

waiting, with cobalt skies shimmering in a dull pulse
that knows what is destined to happen

I know what I'm waiting for, do you?
where is your hope?

will it burst through the darkest of days?
will you smile, even in the rain?

Psalm 84:10-12
For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!
